Dubai’s Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) reported a major leap in smart traffic enforcement during the first half of 2025, registering a 401% increase in processed violations compared to the first quarter, with a response rate of 60.4%.

The achievement highlights a shift toward more efficient institutional security, driven by advanced technologies and data integration. Sultan Al Malik, Director of the PCFC Security Department, said the results reflect a strategic transformation from reactive measures to proactive intelligence, positioning the Division as a regional benchmark for smart enforcement.

Between January and June, the Security Control and Command Division handled 1,971 violations, ranging from abandoned vehicles and illegal waste disposal to unauthorized land use. Of these, 992 cases were resolved, while environmental incidents received a 100% response rate within 72 hours, with no critical incidents reported.

At mid-year, 651 active cases remained, divided into container-related violations, unmarked trailers, and infrastructure issues. Each category is being addressed through targeted mechanisms, including reduction campaigns, fast-track responses, and audit-driven solutions.

Looking ahead, PCFC outlined four initiatives for the second half of 2025: a 90-day clearance campaign, a centralized operations dashboard, infrastructure and signage audits, and predictive intelligence systems aimed at enabling fully proactive enforcement by 2026.
