Pearson, a leading education company, has announced the expansion of its generative AI beta study tools into the global editions of its higher education titles. By August 2024, tens of thousands of students across the Middle East, Australia, Asia-Pacific, Canada, and Europe will have access to these tools. Pearson had initiated the integration of generative AI study tools into its content and products in the US last August.
The AI beta study tools will be available in dozens of English-language Pearson eTextbook global editions and Canadian adaptations of US-originated content in science, engineering, mathematics, and business. Pearson's Mastering study platform will also offer AI study tools in several science titles. According to a survey conducted on US students who used Pearson's beta AI study tools in the August – December 2023 semester, 75% of respondents found the tools helpful or very helpful to their studies.
