The Public Prosecution's Criminal Information Centre (Waey) shared a video on social media explaining the punishments for selling fireworks illegally.

According to Article 54 of Federal Decree Law No. 17 of 2019, trading, importing, exporting, or making fireworks without a license can lead to imprisonment for at least a year and a fine of at least AED100,000. The law defines explosives as chemical compounds reacting under certain conditions, including fireworks.

Article 3 states that handling weapons, ammunition, explosives, or hazardous substances without a license is not allowed, except with permission from the licensing authority.

This video aims to educate the community about the law and promote legal awareness. It's part of the Public Prosecution's ongoing efforts to increase understanding of the country's laws among the public.
