Ovasave's Fertility Bus Campaign Garners Strong Response in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

In a groundbreaking initiative, FemTech company Ovasave has launched a two-week fertility awareness campaign across Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The campaign features a distinctive purple "fertility bus" that offers free Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) test kits, valued at Dh350, to women. On the first day, the bus stationed at Central Park Towers in Dubai saw an overwhelming turnout of over 300 women, leading to a shortage of test kits.

Torkia Mahloul, co-founder of Ovasave, expressed enthusiasm over the high turnout, stating,

"We ran out of test kits and had to ask women to come back on another day. It shows how women want to know more about their fertility."

The bus will continue its journey to key locations, including Etihad HQ, Abu Dhabi Global Market, Alserkal Avenue, and Dubai Media City, providing women with insights into their egg reserve and future fertility. The campaign aims to address the accessibility and cost issues associated with fertility testing, which can be up to Dh1,000.

One participant, who preferred to remain anonymous, shared,

“I’ve been contemplating fertility testing since a friend froze her eggs last year. With my busy career and no partner yet, I’ve been delaying it.”

Torkia Mahloul, inspired by her own experience with fertility testing and egg freezing at age 34, co-founded Ovasave with fertility expert Majd Abu Zant. Their goal is to eliminate the stigma surrounding fertility and make testing more accessible and affordable. Sponsored by Merck and Dubai Investments, the campaign includes a teleconsultation with a doctor to discuss test results, aiming to empower women to take proactive steps in managing their fertility.

Majd Abu Zant highlighted the importance of early fertility awareness, noting that women’s egg quality and quantity decline with age, underscoring the need for proactive measures.

Ovasave's campaign marks a significant step towards improving fertility awareness and support for women in the UAE.
