Dubai will host a major radiology event this week as the 13th Pan Arab Association of Radiological Societies (PAARS) Conference and the 9th Annual Meeting of the Emirates Radiology Society (RSE) launch on April 18 at Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk.

Organised by Info Plus, the three-day conference runs under the theme “What Matters: Radiology in Emergencies,” highlighting the critical role of imaging in urgent medical scenarios.

Dr. Taleb Mohammed Al Mansoori, Head of the Emirates Radiology Division, described the event as a pivotal platform to advance radiological practices across the UAE and the Arab world.

“Hosting it alongside the PAARS conference promotes global knowledge exchange, which contributes to better patient care and professional growth,”

he said.

The scientific programme features 16 sessions, 69 lectures, 253 research presentations, five industrial seminars, and hands-on workshops—including a preparatory session by the European School of Radiology (ESOR) on opening day.

Key themes include international guest speakers, advanced case studies, diagnostic and interventional radiology sessions, and the latest imaging technologies. The conference will also foster cross-border collaboration through networking opportunities for radiologists, researchers, and healthcare professionals.

Dr. Lamia Jamjoom, President of PAARS, called the event

“a reflection of the Arab radiology community’s commitment to scientific excellence and innovation.”

She encouraged professionals from across the healthcare sector to participate.

Over 10 leading pharmaceutical and medical device firms are backing the event, underscoring its significance in shaping the region’s healthcare future.
