Rove Hotels Targets 10,000 Rooms in the Next Five Years
The UAE-headquartered Rove Hotels said this week that it aims to have 10,000 rooms in operation or under development over the next five years.
Rove Hotels currently has over 3,400 operational hotel rooms across its various properties.
Its portfolio of properties includes city hotels, event-led hotels, beach properties, and even a theme-park hotel located at Dubai Parks and Resorts. Rove Expo 2020 is also the only hotel inside Expo City Dubai that will host the upcoming COP28 summit.
Paul Bridger, chief operating officer of Rove Hotels, said,
“In this exciting new phase of Rove’s journey, we’re looking forward to taking our unique lifestyle hospitality concept to new destinations. As a homegrown brand, we are thrilled to see the tremendous growth in tourism that the region is experiencing, and we believe that Rove Hotels can play an important role in providing accessible quality accommodation options for travellers.”
To steer Rove’s growth within the region, Alban Mabille was recently appointed as Group Director of Development and entrusted with overseeing Rove Hotels’ growth across the MENA region.
Details of where the new hotels are planned were not immediately available.
Expanding into the residential market
Beyond its hotel expansion plans, Rove Hotels also recently introduced Rove Home, its new branded residences concept. Its first project announced under that brand was Rove Home Aljada in Sharjah. With options ranging from one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, residents there will have the option to avail of add-on services such as housekeeping, in-room dining, laundry, and more when buying an apartment.
Its second property under the Rove Home brand was announced earlier this month. Rove Home Downtown will be located within the Burj Khalifa district close to Dubai Mall and Dubai Opera. It will offer fully-furnished studios, one-, and two-bedroom apartments featuring
“contemporary finishes and state-of-the-art smart home features.”
Rove said that its first two projects Rove Home Aljada and Rove Home Downtown sold out “in record time”. It added that it is now looking for more opportunities to expand its foothold in the residential property market.
