Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in partnership with the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Urban Mobility, has completed a series of eight virtual training programmes focusing on sustainable mobility.
Targeting various grades of RTA employees, these sessions aimed to enhance knowledge and skills in urban air mobility, hydrogen technologies, AI in autonomous vehicles, and rethinking urban spaces.
Upon completing the specialised tests, 157 employees received certificates from EIT. The training reflects the RTA’s commitment to government directives by providing up-to-date programmes that foster innovative thinking, competitiveness, and continuous learning.
EIT Urban Mobility, established in 2008 by the European Union, focuses on driving innovation in business, education, and research, addressing global challenges such as climate change, digitalisation, and sustainable energy.
This collaboration marks a significant step towards equipping RTA employees with future skills and knowledge in sustainable and urban mobility, aligning with Dubai’s broader goals of leadership and innovation in transport and infrastructure.
