Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in collaboration with TruKKer, the region's leading digital freight platform, has announced the launch of "Logisty", a cutting-edge Digital Logistics Platform.
The initiative, set to launch officially in December 2024, aims to redefine logistics services in Dubai and cement the emirate’s position as a leading hub for regional freight and transportation.
The platform will offer commercial transport services to customers and businesses, fleet management solutions, and on-demand booking with real-time tracking capabilities. By leveraging advanced technologies like an AI-powered CBM Calculator, which estimates shipment volumes through images and videos, "Logisty" is set to streamline freight transportation and enhance operational efficiency across the sector.
Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the RTA, highlighted the platform's alignment with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's vision and the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), which seeks to position Dubai among the top three global economic cities. "Logisty" also supports the Dubai Commercial Road Transport & Logistics Strategy 2030, which aims to double the logistics sector’s economic contribution to AED16.8 billion and increase technology adoption by 75%.
Dubai’s commercial transport sector has grown sustainably, with over 351,000 registered vehicles and a 7.8% growth rate in Q2 2023. The industry contributes AED31.4 billion annually to Dubai’s GDP and provides more than 242,000 jobs.
Al Tayer emphasized RTA’s commitment to delivering transparent, secure, and innovative logistics solutions through private-sector collaboration. With "Logisty," Dubai aims to enhance user experience while accelerating the sector’s technological evolution, ensuring global competitiveness.
