Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has released the operating hours for its services during the New Year’s holiday 2025.
These include Customer Happiness Centres, public transport systems, marine transport, parking zones, and vehicle testing centres.
Customer Happiness and Vehicle Testing Centres
RTA’s Customer Happiness Centres and vehicle technical testing centres will remain closed on Wednesday, 1 January 2025. Operations will resume on Thursday, 2 January 2025, following their regular schedules.
Dubai Metro and Tram Timings
Dubai Metro:
- 31 December 2024: Services will run from 5:00 AM to 11:59 PM.
- 1 January 2025: Operations will be extended, running from 12:00 midnight to 11:59 PM.
Dubai Tram:
- 31 December 2024: Operational from 6:00 AM to 11:59 PM.
- 1 January 2025: Services available from 12:00 midnight to 1:00 AM the following day.
Public Buses
Passengers are encouraged to check the S’hail app for updated bus timings.
- Suspended Routes:
- Route E100 (Al Ghubaiba to Abu Dhabi) and Route E102 (Al Jafiliya to Shabiya Musaffah) will be unavailable from 31 December 2024 to 1 January 2025. Passengers can use Route E101 from Ibn Battuta Bus Station as an alternative.
Marine Transport
Marine services will operate as follows:
Water Taxis:
- Popular routes, including Marina Mall – Bluewaters (BM3), and others, will operate between 12:00 noon and 12:00 midnight. On-demand services are also available with prior booking.
Dubai Ferry:
- Routes such as Al Ghubaiba to Dubai Water Canal (FR1) and tourist trips from Marina Mall and Al Jaddaf will be operational with specific schedules.
Abras:
- Traditional abra services connecting Old Souq, Al Fahidi, and other areas will run between 11:00 AM and midnight.
Tourist Trips:
- Dedicated trips from Al Seef, Business Bay, and Marina Mall will operate between 3:30 PM and 10:15 PM, offering scenic rides for visitors.
Public Parking
All public parking zones (excluding multi-storey parking) will be free on Wednesday, 1 January 2025. Paid parking will resume on Thursday, 2 January 2025.
