Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the operating hours for its services during the New Year holiday on 1 January 2026, covering public transport, parking, customer service centres, and vehicle testing facilities to help residents and visitors plan their travel.
All RTA Customer Happiness Centres will remain closed on 1 January 2026. However, Smart Customer Happiness Centres located in Al Barsha, Al Twar, Al Kifaf, and at RTA Headquarters will continue operating around the clock, offering 24-hour services as usual. Service provider centres responsible for vehicle testing will also be closed on New Year’s Day, with normal operations resuming on Friday, 2 January 2026.
Dubai Metro services on both the Red and Green Lines will operate from 5:00 am to 11:59 pm on Wednesday, 31 December 2025. On Thursday, 1 January 2026, metro services will run continuously from midnight until 11:59 pm. Dubai Tram services will operate from 6:00 am to 11:59 pm on 31 December and from midnight until 1:00 am the following day on 1 January.
Public bus services will continue operating during the holiday, with schedule adjustments available through the S’hail application. RTA advised passengers that intercity Bus Route E100 will be suspended from the afternoon of 31 December, with services resuming on 4 January 2026. During this period, commuters travelling to Abu Dhabi are encouraged to use Route E101 from Ibn Battuta Bus Station. Bus Route E102 will operate from Ibn Battuta Bus Station from 2:00 pm onwards on 31 December.
Marine transport operating hours during the holiday will be available through RTA’s official online channels. Public parking across Dubai will be free of charge on 1 January 2026, except for multi-storey parking facilities and Al Khail Gate N-365. Paid parking will resume on 2 January 2026.
RTA encouraged the public to check official platforms for real-time updates and plan journeys in advance.
