RTA Awards Naming Rights of Mashreq Metro Station to InsuranceMarket.ae
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that the naming rights of Mashreq Metro Station have been awarded to InsuranceMarket.ae, the UAE’s largest insurance platform, which has been serving the nation since 1995.
Under this agreement, Mashreq Metro Station will be rebranded as InsuranceMarket Metro Station for the next decade.
Strategically located on Sheikh Zayed Road between Mall of The Emirates and Dubai Internet City Metro Stations, the renamed station is poised to benefit from increased visibility and alignment with one of Dubai’s most prominent transit hubs. The rebranding process will commence in September 2024 and continue through November 2024, encompassing updates to both external and internal signage, smart systems, and RTA’s public transport apps. Onboard audio announcements will also reflect the new name.
Abdul Mohsen Ibrahim Kalbat, CEO of the Rail Agency at RTA, highlighted the significance of this collaboration in fostering successful public-private partnerships. He noted that such partnerships play a crucial role in economic development, job creation, and supporting government objectives.
Avinash Babur, Founder & CEO of InsuranceMarket.ae, expressed gratitude for the naming rights, calling it a milestone for the company. He emphasized the alignment of InsuranceMarket.ae’s mission to connect customers with insurance solutions with the metro’s role in linking people across Dubai. Babur anticipates that this partnership will positively impact both residents and visitors.
RTA urges metro riders to take note of the station's name change and seek assistance from RTA staff if needed during the transition period.
