The Roads and Transport Authority has announced its support for the Most Noble Number charity auction taking place in Dubai on March 7, with proceeds set to support a global campaign aimed at rescuing millions of children from hunger.
The auction, organised by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, will be held at the Armani Hotel Dubai. Funds raised will support the Edge of Life campaign, a humanitarian initiative launched during Ramadan by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The campaign aims to raise at least AED 1 billion to combat childhood hunger and assist five million children worldwide.
As part of its contribution, the RTA has dedicated nine exclusive vehicle plate numbers for auction. The plates include DD 6, DD 16, DD 25, DD 30, DD 99, DD 100, DD 999, DD 7000 and DD 22222.
The charity event is expected to attract high-profile personalities, philanthropists and business leaders committed to supporting humanitarian causes and strengthening the culture of giving in the UAE.
The Edge of Life campaign is being implemented in partnership with leading international organisations including UNICEF, Save the Children, Children’s Investment Fund Foundation and Action Against Hunger.
Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA, said the initiative reflects the UAE’s long-standing commitment to humanitarian action and global responsibility. He added that dedicating premium number plates to the auction supports the campaign’s mission to address childhood hunger and protect vulnerable communities.
Charity auctions have played an important role in supporting social initiatives in the UAE. The previous Most Noble Number auction, held in support of the Fathers’ Endowment campaign during Ramadan 2025, raised more than AED 83 million.
