Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has unveiled the ‘Takamul Permit’, a new initiative aimed at enhancing synergy between the luxury passenger transport and car rental sectors.

This move aligns with Dubai’s commitment to offering seamless, high-end mobility solutions that cater to residents, visitors, and tourists while improving overall quality of life.

Jamal Al Sadah, Director of Commercial Transport Activities at RTA’s Licensing Agency, emphasized the initiative’s role in fostering collaboration between limousine transport companies and car rental firms.

“The permit enables temporary use of luxury vehicles, allowing customers—including individuals, tourists, and residents—to hire a chauffeur-driven luxury car for up to one month, under specific regulations,”

he stated.

The ‘Takamul Permit’ introduces a comprehensive regulatory framework, updating policies to cover all rental activities under RTA’s jurisdiction. It streamlines business operations while ensuring compliance with luxury transport standards.

Companies benefiting from this service must adhere to strict regulations, including registering rental contracts, enrolling in RTA’s Transport Activities Rental System (TARS), and listing drivers in the system. These measures reinforce service quality and operational transparency.

With this initiative, RTA continues to enhance Dubai’s transportation ecosystem, ensuring luxury, convenience, and regulatory efficiency in the emirate’s evolving mobility landscape.
