RTA Showcases Dubai's Innovation at ITS World Congress in Suzhou, Setting the Stage for Hosting the 30th Edition.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) participated in the 29th World Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS World Congress) in Suzhou, China to keep abreast of the latest advancements and technologies in the mobility sector and to promote Dubai’s readiness to host the 30th edition of (ITS World Congress) in September 2024.
During the event, Mousa Al Raeisi, Director of Technology Strategy and Governance at the Corporate Technical Support Services Sector, RTA, was presented with the hosting shield trophy for the ITS World Congress in 2024 by the Mayor of Suzhou and members of the European Organization for Intelligent Transportation Systems. Moreover, RTA's delegation had the opportunity to meet with the Head of Transportation of the Chinese city of Suzhou and the Mayor of the South Korean city of Gangneung, which will host the ITS World Congress 2026.
RTA's participation in the 29th World Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS World Congress) in Suzhou, China demonstrates Dubai’s readiness for smart mobility, digitization, and exchange of experiences in intelligent transportation systems.
RTA has confirmed that the upcoming event is designed to review the most critical developments in transportation systems and showcase Dubai's pioneering vision of leveraging technology and innovation to enhance the transportation sector and improve the quality of life and sustainability. The conference will also focus on promoting collaboration between the government and private sectors to offer better solutions to the city's transportation challenges, as well as enhance cooperation and exchange ideas in the field of developing intelligent transportation systems.
The Dubai World Trade Center will host the ITS World Congress and Exhibition from 16th to 24th September 2024, focusing on intelligent transportation systems. The event aims to attract approximately 20,000 visitors, including specialists in this field. The exhibition will feature more than 500 companies from over 100 countries representing various sectors. The conference will include 700 different sessions, such as main sessions, accompanying sessions, and workshops, as well as technical visits to about eight sites or projects in Dubai. The event will host 250 speakers from different sectors to discuss the latest advancements in intelligent transportation systems.
