Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with DP World to boost cooperation in developing innovative and sustainable digital solutions that enhance Dubai’s transport and logistics landscape.
The partnership aims to strengthen the integration between transport and logistics services, improve operational efficiency, and reinforce Dubai’s position as a leading regional logistics hub. It also supports the city’s digital transformation by promoting smart systems and sustainable practices across supply chain networks.
Under the agreement, RTA and DP World will collaborate on integrating digital platforms, exchanging data and reports, and holding regular coordination meetings to track progress and identify new areas for development. The initiative seeks to build a connected logistics ecosystem that improves cargo movement and supports Dubai’s readiness for the digital economy.
Ahmed Mahboob, CEO of Licensing Agency at RTA, said the MoU marks a key milestone in building integrated digital ecosystems that enhance the efficiency of transport and logistics operations while reinforcing Dubai’s global status as a trade and logistics hub.
Mohamed AbuHamra, Chief Operating Officer of Digital Technology at DP World GCC, emphasized that digital integration is vital to strengthening Dubai’s competitiveness, adding that the partnership will create smarter and more efficient logistics services.
The signing ceremony took place at RTA’s headquarters in Dubai, attended by senior officials from both organizations.
