Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority is showcasing a suite of cutting-edge smart mobility solutions at GITEX Global 2025, the world’s largest technology and digital transformation event, running from 13 to 17 October at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The pavilion highlights RTA’s commitment to harnessing artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and predictive technologies to redefine urban transport.
The authority will unveil 11 pioneering projects, including the Smart Connected Vehicles Network, AutoCheck 360, the Trackless Tram, Safe Tracks Rail Inspection System, Dubai Mobility Lab, and the aerial taxi. These initiatives demonstrate Dubai’s push toward an integrated, AI-driven transport ecosystem that enhances safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, RTA Director General, emphasized the authority’s goal to deliver proactive, technology-enabled services that improve residents’ quality of life while positioning Dubai as a global innovation hub.
“Our projects reflect the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to make Dubai the smartest and happiest city in the world,”
he said.
The Smart Vehicle Network enables predictive traffic control through real-time data analytics, reducing delays by 25% and cutting operational costs by up to 30%. AutoCheck 360, a fully automated vehicle inspection system, cuts inspection time from 17 minutes to 7 while enhancing road safety. The aerial taxi, capable of vertical take-off and landing, offers rapid connectivity across the city, including a 10-minute journey from Dubai International Airport to Palm Jumeirah.
Other highlights include the Smart Mobility Platform for Safe Cities, which uses AI and IoT to monitor and manage commercial transport, and the Trackless Tram, an autonomous system that operates without fixed tracks. RTA is also showcasing digital solutions such as the S’hail app, the RTA Dubai app, interactive kiosks, and the AI Factory, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and a seamless, future-ready mobility ecosystem.
