Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) successfully concluded its Ramadan 2025 initiatives, impacting 55,000 individuals through 20 community-driven projects.

These efforts, held across RTA headquarters, metro stations, and marine transport stations, reinforced the authority’s commitment to fostering social cohesion, volunteerism, and sustainable development.

RTA’s initiatives targeted various segments, including people of determination, orphans, low-income families, and public transport users. In collaboration with Dubai Police, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, Dubai Charity Association, and other partners, the projects promoted values of tolerance and teamwork.

Widespread Impact Through Community Initiatives

Over 30,000 individuals benefited from the Iftar Meal project, while the Meals on Wheels initiative supported 15,500 workers, including bus drivers and delivery bike riders. Additionally, 5,000 metro users participated in dedicated Ramadan activities, and the Ramadan Rations project provided 1,000 nol cards to assist low-income families during the holy month.

“RTA remains committed to fostering a culture of giving through initiatives that enhance social responsibility and humanitarian efforts,”

said Abdullah Yousef Al Ali, CEO of the Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector at RTA.

Encouraging Volunteerism and Eid Celebrations

With the participation of 350 volunteers contributing over 1,500 hours, RTA strengthened its volunteer network. The authority also marked Eid Al-Fitr with cultural events at the Senior Citizens Council, gift distributions at Etisalat Metro Station, and partnerships with organizations to bring joy to orphans and senior citizens.

RTA’s Ramadan initiatives concluded with UAE Reads, offering reading workshops for employees’ children in collaboration with the Huawei Community. Through these sustained efforts, RTA continues to reinforce Dubai’s position as a global model for charitable and community-driven work.
