Salik Company PJSC, Dubai’s exclusive toll gate operator, has announced a strategic partnership with Parkonic, the UAE’s leading private parking operator, marking its first geographic expansion beyond Dubai. The collaboration, secured under a five-year contract, integrates Salik’s eWallet system with Parkonic’s AI-driven parking technology across 107 locations and approximately 135,000 parking spaces in the UAE. This initiative aims to simplify parking payment experiences nationwide, aligning with the UAE’s smart city vision.
Parkonic will promote Salik’s eWallet as the preferred payment method at all current and future locations, ensuring seamless and secure parking payments for users. Salik will earn a percentage of parking revenue generated through its eWallet integration, further diversifying its revenue streams. The rollout is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2025, extending Salik’s reach beyond tolling services and into parking solutions.
Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad, CEO of Salik, highlighted that the partnership represents a significant milestone for Salik, enhancing smart city infrastructure while accelerating ancillary revenue growth. He emphasized that the collaboration not only supports Salik’s corporate strategy but also demonstrates its commitment to leveraging advanced technology for broader mobility solutions.
