Salik to Introduce Variable Road Toll Pricing Starting January 31

Dubai's Salik will implement new variable road toll pricing beginning January 31, offering different rates based on peak and off-peak hours.

During weekdays, the toll will be Dh6 during morning peak hours (6 am to 10 am) and evening peak hours (4 pm to 8 pm). Off-peak hours, between 10 am to 4 pm and 8 pm to 1 am, will see a reduced toll of Dh4. On Sundays, excluding public holidays and special events, the toll will be Dh4 all day, with free passage from 1 am to 6 am.

Ramadan will bring revised pricing, with weekday peak hours from 9 am to 5 pm charged at Dh6, while off-peak hours from 7 am to 9 am and 5 pm to 2 am will be charged at Dh4. The toll will be free between 2 am and 7 am Monday to Saturday. On Sundays during Ramadan, the toll will remain Dh4 from 7 am to 2 am, and free from 2 am to 7 am.

Additionally, the toll system will remain unchanged for vehicles passing Al Safa North, Al Safa South, Al Mamzar North, and Al Mamzar South toll gates in the same direction within one hour.

Salik also announced changes in parking fees, set to take effect by March 2025. Premium parking will cost Dh6 per hour during peak hours, while standard parking will be priced at Dh4. Off-peak parking rates will remain unchanged, and parking will be free from 10 pm to 8 am, as well as all day on Sundays.

Moreover, a new Congestion Pricing Policy will charge Dh25 per hour for public parking in event areas, starting with zones around the Dubai World Trade Centre in February 2025.
