2nd Edition of Dubai FinTech Summit Welcomes Over 8,000 Industry Leaders from 100+ Countries
His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance of the UAE and President of DIFC, today opened the second edition of the Dubai FinTech Summit, which is being held at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai under the theme ‘Pioneering FinTech’s Future’.
Organised by the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), the leading global Financial Centre in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region, this year’s Dubai FinTech Summit brings together more than 8,000 industry leaders from over 100 countries.
HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed emphasized Dubai's potential as a global FinTech hub, citing its conducive environment and alignment with Dubai Economic Agenda D33. He stressed collaboration for innovation, financial inclusion, and sustainability at the Dubai FinTech Summit, attended by global leaders.
His Excellency Essa Kazim highlighted DIFC's pivotal role in Dubai's economy, emphasizing its growth and initiatives to foster innovation and collaboration with FinTech firms.
Arif Amiri, CEO at DIFC Authority, underscored DIFC's role in facilitating FinTech excellence through partnerships and cross-border collaboration. The Dubai FinTech Summit serves as a platform to discuss finance's future, positioning Dubai as a financial hub and fostering economic growth in the MEASA region and beyond.
Day one of the Dubai FinTech Summit saw insightful debates on the topics of ‘Regulation and Policymaking’; ‘Crypto Payments’; ‘Embedded and Open Finance’; ‘AI and the Future of Finance’; ‘VC, Entrepreneurship and Beyond’; ‘Corporate Finance’; ‘Financial Inclusion and Consumer Protection’; and more.
