Second Iraqi Medical Conference to Open in Dubai

The Second Iraqi Medical Conference, under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, will commence tomorrow, Friday, January 24, at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library.

The two-day event, running until January 25, 2025, is expected to bring together a distinguished group of doctors, researchers, and medical professionals from Iraq and across the globe.

The conference aims to foster scientific collaboration and the development of cutting-edge medical technologies, aligning with the UAE's vision as a global hub for innovation and scientific excellence. Key topics to be explored include advancements in Medical Genomics, the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare, and the Internet of Health—improving remote patient monitoring and care.

A notable highlight of the event is the presentation of the Bao Award, celebrating creativity and innovation in the healthcare sector. The award aims to spotlight Arab talent that has significantly contributed to improving healthcare standards.

The conference is supported by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism and the Emirates Health Services under the Ministry of Health, with collaboration from the UAE Genetic Diseases Association and the “Thank You for Your Giving” volunteer team.
