His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, met with local dignitaries, business leaders, investors, ministers, and senior officials at his weekly Majlis.
During the meeting, HH Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the UAE's commitment, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to excel in various sectors and enhance global partnerships to tackle challenges in sustainability, innovation, and infrastructure.
HH Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the UAE's strategy to diversify income sources, enhance investment opportunities, and create new business avenues, especially in future-focused sectors. He noted Dubai's efforts to strengthen its status as a global trading hub, a centre for the creative and digital economy, and a major base for multinational companies. This aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, which aims to position Dubai as one of the world's top three urban economies.
HH Sheikh Mohammed also stressed the importance of partnerships between the public and private sectors and the role of innovation and advanced technology in driving Dubai's future. He emphasized the need to provide a supportive environment for startups, facilitated by modern laws and regulations.
The meeting was attended by key figures including His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Hasher bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum.
Additionally, a lecture by His Excellency Mohammed Hamad Al-Kuwaiti, Chairman of the UAE Cybersecurity Council, underscored the importance of cybersecurity in protecting the UAE's digital transformation and national security.
