His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, has announced the release of Part 1 of his latest book, Almatani Alhayah (“Life Has Taught Me”), offering reflections on his leadership journey and personal experiences.
The book, comprising 35 chapters, explores significant moments from Sheikh Mohammed’s decades-long public service and provides insights into his vision for governance, public affairs, and life itself. It is designed as a reference for both current and future generations.
Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the book’s purpose, saying the greatest legacy is not wealth or structures, but wisdom and knowledge that benefit people across time and borders.
“I wanted this book to be simple in its words, candid in its expression, and genuine in its meaning—so that it may touch hearts directly,”
he said.
The introduction, available in bookstores from September 25, reflects on more than 60 years in public service. Sheikh Mohammed recalls the challenges and achievements of his career, the personal losses he endured, and the values that have guided him, including love for his country, people, and family.
He added that the book is intended for himself, his family, his citizens, and anyone wishing to learn from his experiences. It underscores his commitment to sharing lessons in leadership, ethics, and human resilience.
Almatani Alhayah builds on Sheikh Mohammed’s previous works, including My Vision: Challenges in the Race for Excellence and Flashes of Thought, continuing a legacy of offering guidance and inspiration to leaders, decision-makers, and young generations seeking to shape the future.
