Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, has been honoured with the Diamond Award for Excellence in Culture, the highest accolade presented annually by the Asociación Española del Lujo (Luxury Spain).
Sheikha Latifa was recognised for her visionary leadership and her contributions to making culture a driver of human progress and global dialogue. She is the only woman from the Arab region among this year’s international recipients, highlighting her influential role in shaping Dubai’s cultural landscape and promoting creativity on a global stage.
The award was presented during a ceremony at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in Madrid by Her Royal Highness Princess Béatrice d’Orléans and Cristina Martín Blasi, Presidents and Founders of the Asociación Española del Lujo. Her Excellency Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, accepted the award on Sheikha Latifa’s behalf.
The International Luxury Awards – Diamonds of Excellence gathered 25 distinguished global figures, including Baroness Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza, as well as representatives from the United Nations, Elie Saab, the World Economic Forum, Chopard, and the Kering Group.
Established in 2010, the Asociación Española del Lujo promotes Spanish excellence across various sectors, from gastronomy and fashion to lifestyle and tourism. Its prestigious Diamond Award for Excellence celebrates individuals and organisations whose work embodies cultural innovation, leadership, and a lasting commitment to humanistic values.
