The Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA) marked a major step in global sport governance with the launch of the Sport Integrity Forum Asia – Dubai Chapter at the International Sports and Entertainment Zone (ISEZA) in Dubai World Trade Centre.

Held as part of the Sport Integrity Action Month, the forum officially introduced SIGA Asia through a Memorandum of Understanding signed between SIGA and ISEZA, solidifying Dubai’s position as a leader in promoting transparency and ethical standards in sport. The initiative follows SIGA’s announcement of its regional expansion during the Summit on Female Leadership in Sport held in Dubai in April 2025.

Supported by the Dubai Sports Council, the event gathered leaders from government, sport, business, academia, and civil society to discuss integrity challenges and opportunities shaping the future of global sport, particularly in Asia.

Under the theme “A New Chapter for Integrity in Asian Sport,” the forum featured four key sessions on governance, sustainability, athlete advocacy, and the development of football in the Middle East.

Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros, Global CEO of SIGA and Chairman and CEO of SIGA Asia, described the launch as the beginning of a “movement” dedicated to transparency and ethical leadership. He highlighted SIGA Asia’s mission to align with the UAE’s Vision 2040 by fostering innovation, inclusion, and sustainable progress in sport.

Damir Valeev, CEO of ISEZA, emphasized the partnership’s role in shaping the future of global sport governance, reaffirming Dubai’s commitment to being a hub for innovation, collaboration, and integrity in the industry.
