The 13th edition of the Sikka Art & Design Festival is set to kick off tomorrow, Friday, 31st January 2025, at the Al Shindagha Historic District in Dubai.

Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, the festival will run until 9th February 2025. This cultural extravaganza aligns with the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy and aims to position Dubai as a global arts and culture hub while fostering creativity and talent development.

With a dynamic programme, this year’s festival offers a blend of visual arts, live performances, interactive installations, and unique culinary experiences. Over 40 public art pieces will be displayed across 19 houses, courtyards, alleyways, and Dubai Creek, featuring sculptures and installations from both pioneering and emerging artists across the UAE and Gulf. In addition, three houses and two courtyards will focus on talent development, while dedicated spaces will showcase creativity from people of determination.

Festival highlights include over 450 workshops, talks, panel discussions, and 100 live performances, with the Firdaus Orchestra, Emirates Youth Symphony Orchestra, and Dubai City Sound ensemble among the notable performers. The festival will also feature special initiatives like the ‘World Stage Design House’ and the ‘Merin’ art pavilion, alongside more than 50 homegrown F&B concepts offering exclusive culinary experiences.

Following the success of last year’s edition, which attracted nearly 162,000 visitors, this year’s festival promises to elevate Dubai’s cultural scene, offering an unforgettable celebration of art and creativity.
