Dubai’s Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA) unveiled its highly anticipated "Tawash" system today, following its successful preview at Intersec 2025.
The system, which redefines gold and jewellery transportation standards, integrates cutting-edge technologies to offer real-time tracking, top-tier protection, and full regulatory compliance.
The announcement took place at the Aman Security Training Centre in Dubai, where industry leaders gathered to witness the evolution of transport security. “Tawash” marks a leap into a smarter, fully monitored transportation process, ensuring that gold shipments are securely transferred between commercial entities with advanced oversight.
Jassim Taher, Director of Special Projects at SIRA, declared,
“Today, 'Tawash' has officially entered the operational phase,”
highlighting the app’s ability to guarantee the safe delivery of gold shipments with live monitoring by law enforcement authorities.
The system replaces traditional cash transport services, offering a more efficient and secure alternative. Transport operations will rely on high-tech security bags, rigorously tested and certified to the highest standards. These bags include features such as smart alarms, loud sirens, electronic locks, and protection against forced entry.
Dubai Police will oversee transport operations, with real-time auditing capabilities and strict verification measures to ensure compliance. Violations, including transporting gold beyond permitted limits without proper security measures, will lead to immediate fines.
SIRA encourages all companies to adopt the new system and its advanced security protocols to maintain Dubai's gold market as one of the safest and most regulated in the world.
