Smart Police Station at Dubai Silicon Oasis Completes 4,656 Smart Transactions in Five Months
The Dubai Police ‘Walk-in’ Smart Police Station (SPS) at Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), the integrated technology free zone technology park, has completed 4,656 smart transactions since its opening end of September 2020.
The smart station, receiving more than 21,303 visitors, offers a variety of Dubai Police services around the clock. It also utilizes the latest technology and artificial intelligence applications, in line with the Smart Dubai Strategy to improve quality of life and facilitate procedures while maintaining health and safety of visitors through social distancing measures.
The Walk-in SPS was inaugurated five months ago by Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Merri, Commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, and His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, Vice Chairman and CEO of Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), to make Dubai Police’s smart services accessible to the DSO community.
Speaking on the walk-in smart station, Brigadier Khalid Al Razooqi, General Director of Artificial Intelligence Department at Dubai Police, said:
“The SPS in DSO is a qualitative addition to the smart police stations that Dubai Police is setting up across the emirate, to provide smart services to citizens, residents, and visitors around the clock without human intervention.”
Al Razooqi noted that the SPS demonstrates Dubai Police’s keenness on providing the most innovative smart police services to the public, in line with the vision of the wise leadership to achieve the happiness of society and facilitate provision of services to customers. He lauded the quick results achieved by the SPS in DSO, which support Dubai Police’s future goals to establish Dubai as a global leader with exceptional and qualitative ideas.
For his part, Engineer Muammar Al Katheeri, Executive Vice President of Engineering and Smart City at Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority, said:
“Last year’s inauguration of the Smart Police Station in Dubai Silicon Oasis embodies the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in enhancing public services, improving quality of life, and solidifying elements of a smart government to make Dubai a preferred global destination to live and work.”
He added that the SPS in Dubai Silicon Oasis supports the Smart City Strategy that DSOA is pursuing to provide the best smart services for its residents and business partners, making Dubai a first choice to live and work.
Al Katheeri noted that the demand for Dubai Police’s smart services is testament to the importance of meeting the public’s demand through strategic public-private partnerships, an approach that DSOA adopts across its operational and administrative procedures.
The SPS in DSO offers more than 60 main and subsidiary community-based smart services in seven languages around the clock, facilitating efficient access to services. In the past five months, the SPS in DSO facilitated applications for good conduct certificates, clearance certificates, and permits issuance, as well as traffic fines payment, among other vital Dubai Police services.
