Smile Train, the world’s largest cleft-focused organization, has launched a citywide “Smile Wall” initiative in collaboration with Dubai Humanitarian to mark World Smile Day, turning public spaces into vibrant hubs of positivity and awareness.

The campaign invites residents across Dubai to post messages, photos, and drawings that capture what makes them smile, promoting unity and joy while supporting children born with cleft lips and palates. The Smile Walls will be displayed at Dubai Mall from October 2 to 4, at Times Square Centre from October 3 to 4, and at several university campuses.

“World Smile Day reminds us that a smile can carry incredible meaning,”

said Afaf Meky, Executive Manager of Smile Train in Dubai.

“Through the Smile Wall campaign, we invite everyone to share moments of joy, celebrate connection, and raise awareness for children born with clefts.”

Every three minutes, a child is born with a cleft condition that can affect eating, speaking, hearing, and breathing. Smile Train, which provides free cleft treatment and care worldwide, aims to shed light on the challenges faced by these children and the transformative power of a simple smile.

Giuseppe Saba, CEO of Dubai Humanitarian, said the collaboration reflects the city’s spirit of compassion and community.

“From the heart of Dubai, this initiative reminds us that even small acts, like sharing a smile, can create moments of happiness and unity that touch lives everywhere,”

he said.

The Smile Wall campaign serves as both a celebration of connection and a call to action, reminding the community that every smile shared can help brighten a child’s future.
