Snapchat is letting app developers put their own apps in Spotlight. The photo sharing app - which is owned by Snap - will aim to make it easier for developers who want to enhance the power of viral content.
The new Creative Kit for Spotlight will let users publish content from apps directly to Spotlight, which is the platform's TikTok rival.
Initial partners for the update include Splice, Power, Pinata Farms and Lightricks.
Meanwhile, users will be able to browse content made on certain apps, and then download them.
Developers can boost their visibility with hashtag topics, which will also help them track performance. Furthermore, Snap won't be taking a cut from developers - even for apps that can to download.
