The third season of Souq Al Freej will kick off tomorrow, Friday, 13 December, at Al Warqa Park 3.
This annual community initiative by Dubai Municipality aims to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), productive families, and Emirati entrepreneurs by providing a platform to showcase and sell their locally-made products directly to the public.
The event is designed to encourage residents to support homegrown goods while offering a supportive environment for entrepreneurs. Dubai Municipality is committed to promoting integrated investment opportunities for local businesses and fostering healthy competition to ensure high-quality, competitively priced products.
Ahmed Al Zarooni, Director of the Parks and Recreational Facilities Department at Dubai Municipality, emphasized that the market plays a significant role in enhancing Dubai’s appeal by offering facilities that support community events and improve residents’ quality of life.
"Souq Al Freej fosters local production and contributes to the emirate’s economy,"
he said.
The market will feature 30 stalls for home-based businesses and 10 for food and beverage vendors. Visitors can expect a variety of activities, including workshops and entertainment, in a family-friendly atmosphere that celebrates Dubai’s winter weather.
Souq Al Freej will run from 4:30 PM to 10:00 PM daily until 29 December. Afterward, it will relocate to Al Barsha 3 Pond Park from 3 to 19 January 2025.
This initiative aligns with Dubai's vision to enhance the quality of life for its residents and create an integrated space for local commerce, culture, and community engagement.
