Dubai is set to host the 15th edition of the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge on Sunday, February 25, 2025, at Expo City Dubai.
Held in partnership with Dubai Sports Council, the event serves as a qualifying gateway for amateur cyclists aiming for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships 2025, scheduled for October 16–19 in Lorne, Australia.
The 92 KM main race route, unveiled by organisers, offers a unique experience for cyclists, featuring traffic-free streets and stunning urban and desert landscapes. Riders will start and finish at Expo City Dubai, passing iconic landmarks such as Global Village, Jumeirah Lake Towers, and Jumeirah Golf Estates. With a flatter terrain and cooler climate, the challenge provides an accessible path for both residents and international participants to achieve their World Championship aspirations.
LOOK, the event’s Official Bicycle Partner, will bring state-of-the-art equipment to enhance riders’ performance. The elite category offers a prize pool of AED 36,000, with AED 10,000 for the male and female winners. Second and third place finishers will receive AED 5,000 and AED 3,000, respectively.
Beyond the main race, the event includes the return of the 35 KM Outride, a new 12 KM Shortcut, and the InstaShop Junior Rides, taking place the day prior. Participants and their families can also enjoy Dubai’s vibrant tourism scene, transforming the challenge into an unforgettable experience.
With the top 25% of riders in each category qualifying for the finals in Australia, the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge reinforces Dubai’s standing as a premier cycling destination and gateway to the global stage.
