TDRA Takes Center Stage as Leading Partner in World Governments Summit 2024
The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) has announced its participation in the World Governments Summit 2024, themed "Shaping Future Governments" with a strong global presence represented by thought leaders, experts, and decision-makers from across the globe.
As the leading partner of the summit, TDRA will take center stage in various significant events during the 2024 edition. These events will feature extensive discussions on the future of governments, emphasizing the pivotal role of technological advancements in shaping life amidst the rapid acceleration of digital transformations on a global scale.
Talal Belhoul Al Falasi, Chairman of TDRA Board of Directors, emphasized the significance of this partnership, stating:
"The World Governments Summit has solidified its position as a prestigious platform for foreseeing and shaping the future—a gathering for decision-makers and experts with rich experiences in crucial fields like digitization, governance, sustainable development, and navigating changes amidst the Fourth Industrial Revolution, impacting governments and societies. The 2024 edition, with its distinct slogan “Shaping Future Governments” comes to touch on a topic that occupies the minds of leaders and decision-makers in light of the rapid transformations, the prospects they provide, and the challenges they impose. This topic is the nature of governments in the coming years, and the government’s relationship with the various sectors within the ecosystem that works on the basis of customer centrality and community happiness.”
TDRA is actively engaged in various activities and events during the World Governments Summit. Notably, TDRA is hosting a forum in collaboration with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, centered on leveraging artificial intelligence to strengthen governmental responses in the Arab region. The forum discusses the findings of the organisation's second working group on open and innovative government, emphasizing the creation of an enabling environment for the responsible deployment of artificial intelligence, prioritizing humanity’s interests and well-being.
The World Governments Summit is scheduled to take place from 12 to 14 February 2024, featuring the participation of over 85 international, regional, and governmental organizations. The event will host more than 200 speakers, including decision-makers, experts, and officials, and will include over 110 sessions covering various topics aimed at contributing to humanity’s pursuit of shaping a better future. The agenda encompasses discussions on government performance, the evolving relationship between government and society, and focuses on six key themes: Government Acceleration and Transformation, Artificial Intelligence and The Next Frontiers, Reimagining Development and Future Economies, Future Societies and Education, Sustainability and The New Global Shifts, and Urbanization and Global Health Priorities.
