Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE will host the third edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit from 11th to 13th January 2025.

Organized by the UAE Government Media Office under the theme “Content For Good,” the event will take place across Emirates Towers, the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), and the Museum of the Future.

The Summit, the world’s largest event dedicated to the content creation economy, aims to advance the UAE’s cultural mission and creative economy. According to Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, the event reflects the UAE’s commitment to fostering a sustainable content industry through investments, regulatory frameworks, and initiatives like the AED150 million content industry fund and the soon-to-launch Creators HQ.

This year’s edition is expected to draw 15,000 attendees, including 420 speakers and representatives from leading social media platforms like YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Meta. Key highlights include the One Billion Award, the world’s largest prize for content creators at $1 million, and the 1 Billion Pitches competition, which offers AED50 million to support groundbreaking projects in content creation.

Spanning 340 sessions across economy, content, and technology tracks, the Summit will focus on advancing the global content economy, valued at $250 billion. It will address challenges like misinformation and intellectual property while promoting impactful content through tools like AI and analytics.

The event underscores the UAE’s leadership in shaping the digital media landscape and fostering a collaborative environment for content creators and innovators globally.
