H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), inaugurated the third Etihad Museum Cultural Season, emphasizing the museum’s role as a vital hub for knowledge and cultural dialogue.
This season aligns with Dubai’s vision to enhance its status as a global cultural center and a thriving creative hub.
The launch event featured a discussion with Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Dubai Abulhoul, CEO and Founder of the Fiker Institute. They highlighted the museum's significant influence on the UAE’s cultural narrative, focusing on themes of leadership, openness, and belonging.
Running until May 2025 under the theme "Future Echoes," the season will include public talks, workshops, and seasonal celebrations, alongside innovative initiatives like a media room and creative audio guides. Notable events include a docuseries presentation by Maha Gargash and Khalid Albudoor, showcasing Emirati music and poetry, and a lecture performance by Hasan Hujairi, exploring the Gulf's musical heritage.
Additionally, Reem Al Menhali will lead a playwriting workshop, while Maryam Al Shehhi offers a unique audio guide blending poetry and storytelling. Rashed Almulla's exhibition will explore UAE history through stamps, and the museum will host its second annual winter festival focused on Hag Al Laila.
Muna Al Gurg, CEO of the Culture and Heritage Sector at Dubai Culture, reiterated the museum's commitment to cultural heritage research, highlighting the new research grant aimed at fostering academic engagement with the museum’s narratives and archives. The third cultural season at the Etihad Museum promises to enrich the community’s understanding of the UAE’s heritage and contemporary identity.
