Dubai’s Department of Planning and Development – Trakhees carried out nearly 25,000 field inspections of buildings and construction sites in the first half of 2025, reinforcing its role in ensuring compliance and supporting sustainable urban growth.
The inspections, led by Trakhees under the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation, included 4,919 community visits, 6,965 construction project checks, and 13,058 assessments through the “Tafteesh” smart application. The initiative highlights the department’s push toward digital transformation to improve efficiency and transparency in regulatory processes.
H.E. Eng. Abdullah Mohammed Belhoul, CEO of Trakhees, said the results reflect the authority’s commitment to operational efficiency and high-quality services that benefit developers and investors.
Alongside inspections, the Urban Planning Department issued 2,739 site plans, 217 lease plans, and more than 3,300 No Objection Certificates to facilitate project development. The Modifications and Accreditation Department also granted 1,871 modification permits, conducted 1,873 field visits, and organized 339 training sessions for over 2,700 professionals.
Trakhees emphasized that these measures align with Dubai’s vision to build a smart, secure, and sustainable investment environment while raising industry standards across construction and urban planning sectors.
