UAE: 3 Major Attractions Set to Reopen as Winter Approaches

As the UAE transitions into the cooler months, several beloved attractions are set to reopen, offering residents and tourists a perfect blend of outdoor experiences, shopping, and food adventures. With September marking the end of summer, the cooler weather ahead promises an ideal time for families and friends to enjoy the outdoors. Below are some of the major attractions reopening this season.

Global Village

A favorite among visitors for its international pavilions, Global Village is set to reopen for its 29th season on October 16, 2024. Spanning across cultures and countries, the destination offers a range of products, entertainment, and dining experiences. This season will run until May 11, 2025, with upgraded attractions and VIP packages, promising a memorable experience for everyone.

Dubai Safari

Home to more than 3,000 animals, Dubai Safari will reopen on October 1 for its sixth season. With 78 mammal species, 50 types of reptiles, and 111 bird species, the park provides a diverse wildlife experience amidst the city’s urban backdrop. The Dubai Municipality has announced significant upgrades, with more details expected soon.

Ripe Market

Known for showcasing local food, clothing, and handmade items, Ripe Market will reopen at Academy Park on October 12, 2024. The market will operate every Saturday and Sunday until May 2025, offering an opportunity for visitors to support local sellers while enjoying the outdoor market atmosphere.

  • Dubai Glow Garden: The dazzling Glow Garden reopened on September 11 for its 10th season. Visitors can enjoy its magical light displays and explore the Dinosaur Park. Tickets are available for purchase online.
  • Jais Flight: The world’s longest zipline, Jais Flight, located in the mountains of Ras Al Khaimah, has also reopened. With tickets starting at Dh299, thrill-seekers can soar over stunning landscapes as temperatures continue to cool.
