Speaking at the conclusion of the 29th Kazakhstan International Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference, Al Mazrouei highlighted the UAE’s ongoing commitment to establishing strategic relationships with countries and global leaders in clean energy.

During his keynote address, the minister announced a groundbreaking agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and Masdar to develop a 1-gigawatt wind energy project. This initiative aligns with the UAE's vision to support sustainable energy solutions and reduce reliance on traditional energy sources. Additionally, he revealed a memorandum of understanding aimed at developing low-carbon energy projects in Kazakhstan, targeting a total capacity of 10 gigawatts.

Al Mazrouei reaffirmed the UAE's dedication to balancing industrial growth with environmental stewardship, stating,

"The UAE supports environmental policies and the sustainable development of petrochemicals through energy-efficient technologies and emission reductions."

He noted that the UAE is integrating renewable solutions, such as solar and nuclear energy, into its petrochemical sector, showcasing a commitment to a low-carbon economy.

On the sidelines of the conference, the minister held discussions with Almasadam Sätqaliev, Kazakhstan's Minister of Energy, and Renat Bekturov, the Governor of the Astana International Financial Centre, further strengthening bilateral ties in the energy sector.
