The UAE Accountability Authority (UAEAA) and Saudi Arabia’s Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) have signed a memorandum of understanding to deepen collaboration in anti-corruption efforts, governance, and oversight development.
The agreement highlights the strong ties between the UAE and Saudi Arabia and reinforces their shared commitment to advancing transparency, accountability, and good governance across the Gulf region. It also supports both nations’ vision of building more resilient and efficient public institutions.
Signed in the presence of Humaid Obaid Khalifa Obaid Abushibs, President of the UAEAA, and Mazin Al-Kahmous, President of Nazaha, the memorandum focuses on expanding technical cooperation and information exchange between the two authorities.
The partnership aims to enhance institutional capabilities through joint training, professional development, and the adoption of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in administrative investigations and data-driven analysis. It also includes efforts to combat cross-border corruption crimes and promote regional stability through effective oversight mechanisms.
Both sides emphasized the importance of continuous collaboration, sharing best practices, and strengthening national expertise to address emerging governance challenges.
The agreement underscores the UAE and Saudi Arabia’s leading role in shaping a regional model for integrity and accountability, setting a benchmark for Gulf cooperation in governance and sustainable development.
