The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has announced significant progress in its national surveys project, with the National Health Survey reaching 95% completion and the National Nutrition Survey achieving 78%.

These initiatives mark a major step toward developing a comprehensive health database to shape the future of healthcare in the country.

The surveys aim to enhance the UAE's health system in alignment with international best practices while boosting its global health competitiveness rankings. They track key health and nutrition indicators, providing actionable insights to design innovative policies and preventive health programmes.

Dr. Hussain Abdul Rahman Al Rand, Assistant Undersecretary for the Public Health Sector, highlighted the importance of accurate data in shaping policies that address community needs. He credited the milestone to the collaboration between MoHAP, the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre, and other partners, alongside public participation.

“These surveys are pivotal in building a world-class healthcare system focused on innovation and sustainability. The community’s cooperation is key to creating a healthier society,”

said Dr. Al Rand.

Dr. Alia Zaid Harbi, Director of the Statistics and Research Centre at MoHAP, emphasized the confidentiality and accuracy of data collected using advanced international methodologies.

“These surveys form the backbone of our health strategies, ensuring an efficient and sustainable health system,”

she added.

By fostering collaboration and leveraging cutting-edge technologies, the surveys support the UAE's vision for a preventive, interconnected healthcare system that improves quality of life and strengthens its global health leadership.
