The UAE will launch a nationwide celebration next Thursday marking the enduring relationship between the UAE and Kuwait, with more than 40 cultural, social, and entertainment events taking place across all seven emirates.

Titled UAE and Kuwait Brothers Forever, the week-long programme will run until 4 February and reflects the leadership’s commitment to honouring the deep-rooted ties between the two nations.

The celebrations aim to highlight decades of close cooperation across economic, cultural, educational, media, and sporting fields, while reinforcing a shared vision for closer people-to-people connections. Iconic UAE landmarks will be illuminated in the colours of the Kuwaiti flag, accompanied by fireworks, drone displays, marine parades, concerts, and cultural performances.

A key highlight is the UAE-Kuwait Media Forum on 29 January, which will explore the historical evolution of bilateral relations and honour influential figures who strengthened these bonds. The forum will also feature rare archival materials documenting decades of cooperation and dialogue on future regional collaboration.

The UAE-Kuwait Economic Forum, scheduled for 2 February, will focus on expanding trade and investment ties. Discussions will cover priority sectors, institutional frameworks, SME support, and successful partnership models.

Events across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, and other emirates will include concerts, food festivals, film screenings, heritage workshops, and family activities. Kuwaiti visitors will receive special welcomes at airports, free access to selected attractions, and exclusive discounts.

The initiative reflects a longstanding partnership rooted in historical ties established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Sabah Al Salem Al Sabah, with Kuwait among the UAE’s earliest supporters following the Union in 1971.
