UAE and Russia Explore Financial Cooperation
Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, UAE Minister of State for Financial Affairs, held discussions with Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, during an official visit to the UAE.
Oreshkin led a high-level delegation comprising representatives from the Presidential Executive Office, the Russian Ministry of Finance, and the Central Bank of Russia. The meeting focused on enhancing financial cooperation between the UAE and Russia, with a particular emphasis on collaboration under the BRICS framework and the New Development Bank.
“These meetings reflect the UAE’s commitment to deepening financial partnerships with international counterparts, fostering sustainable economic growth, and facilitating the exchange of expertise in financial sectors,”
said Al Hussaini.
He further highlighted the UAE’s interest in expanding cooperation with Russia, sharing technical expertise, and developing joint initiatives aimed at improving financial system efficiency, innovation, and sustainability.
The discussions underscore the UAE’s proactive approach to strengthening global financial ties and reinforcing its role in international economic development.
