UAE and Russia Strengthen Educational Ties with New Agreements

The UAE Ministry of Education has signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the Russian Ministry of Education and the "Talent and Success" educational foundation in the Sirius Federal Territory.

These agreements aim to enhance international cooperation in education, foster innovation, and support student talent development.

Sarah bint Yousef Al Amiri, UAE Minister of Education, signed the MoUs with Sergey Kravtsov, Russian Minister of Education, and Elena Shmeleva, Chairman of the Sirius Territory Council. The signing ceremony took place at the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Education Center in Moscow, attended by officials from both nations.

Al Amiri highlighted that the agreements align with the UAE’s vision of a progressive education system that adapts to global advancements.

“This partnership marks a significant milestone in exchanging expertise, adopting best practices in scientific research, and implementing innovative teaching models,”

she stated.

The MoU with the Russian Ministry of Education focuses on strengthening cooperation in public education by sharing best practices, facilitating academic exchanges, and enhancing educational technologies. The agreement also encourages student and teacher participation in global competitions and Olympiads.

Meanwhile, the MoU with the "Talent and Success" foundation promotes collaboration in scientific research, technological development, and knowledge exchange. It includes initiatives such as specialised training in STEM subjects, academic exchange programmes, and fostering technological innovation and student entrepreneurship.

Additionally, the agreements support joint cultural and artistic projects, furthering intellectual and creative collaboration between the two countries. These efforts reinforce the UAE’s commitment to building a world-class education system and strengthening its global presence in the field of education and research.
