UAE and Sweden Strengthen Parliamentary Ties

Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence, Interior, and Foreign Affairs Committee at the Federal National Council (FNC), met with Dag Hartelius, State Secretary for Foreign Affairs at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, today at the FNC headquarters in Abu Dhabi to discuss enhancing parliamentary cooperation between the UAE and Sweden.

The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations, with particular attention to economic collaboration, artificial intelligence, green economy investments, renewable energy, and modern technology. Both sides underscored the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in complementing official diplomatic efforts.

Dr. Al Nuaimi highlighted the UAE's commitment to promoting tolerance, coexistence, and peace, emphasizing the country’s approach to fostering regional stability and sustainable development. He affirmed the UAE’s dedication to building relationships with nations worldwide to achieve shared goals of peace and prosperity.

Dag Hartelius expressed Sweden's enthusiasm for deepening ties with the UAE, praising the nation’s ongoing progress and robust investment climate, which has attracted several Swedish companies. He also congratulated the UAE on its 53rd Eid Al Etihad, extending his best wishes for continued prosperity and success.

The discussions reflect the growing collaboration between the two nations, with a shared focus on technology, sustainability, and global stability.
