The UAE, represented by the Ministry of Finance, hosted the 6th Financial Dialogue with Switzerland's Federal Department of Finance today.
The dialogue focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in key financial and economic sectors, particularly digital finance, international taxation, and macroeconomic developments.
Mohamed Hadi Al Hussaini, UAE Minister of State for Financial Affairs, welcomed Daniela Stoffel Delbrück, Swiss State Secretary for International Finance, and her delegation. Both sides signed a joint statement reaffirming their commitment to the UAE-Swiss Strategic Financial Dialogue.
Al Hussaini highlighted the significance of the dialogue, stating that it has proven to be a strategic platform for robust collaboration. He emphasized the need for enhanced communication between governments and financial institutions to drive sustainable economic growth, particularly in emerging sectors like digital finance and virtual asset regulation.
Stoffel echoed these sentiments, describing the dialogue as a key initiative for fostering stronger financial ties and collaboration between the two nations.
The discussions addressed global financial trends, including developments within the G20 and Financial Stability Board. Participants also explored topics like international taxation, anti-money laundering measures, and cooperation in financial markets.
The UAE and Switzerland reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining the financial dialogue as a platform for innovation and growth, aiming to support sustainable development and financial stability in both countries.
