The Ministry of Community Development of the UAE, the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and the Ministry of Family and Social Services of Türkiye have signed two memoranda of understanding to redevelop the Sheikh Zayed Children's Complex in Istanbul.
The UAE has committed AED 40.4 million (USD 11 million) to the project, which includes expansion, redevelopment, and ongoing maintenance of the facility. This collaboration aims to provide essential support services for orphans and at-risk children, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized the UAE’s legacy of compassion and dedication to supporting vulnerable children.
Dr. Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi of the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation highlighted the importance of giving, a value instilled by the UAE’s Founding Father.
Shamma Al Mazrui noted that the MoUs will enhance cooperation in family development, child protection, and addressing domestic violence, ensuring that UAE’s social services meet global standards.
Hessa Bint Essa Buhumaid, Director General of the Community Development Authority, stated that the cooperation reflects the UAE's commitment to improving family and child welfare through the exchange of knowledge and best practices. This initiative continues Sheikh Zayed’s vision of fostering international cooperation and creating lasting positive change globally.
