Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy, recently met Laziz Kudratov, Uzbekistan's Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, to explore enhanced collaboration in various economic and developmental sectors.

The discussions focused on opportunities in tourism, SMEs, FinTech, renewable energy, logistics, agriculture, and innovation.

Bin Touq highlighted the robust ties between the two nations, describing their partnership as a model for economic collaboration.

"We see Uzbekistan as a promising economic partner in Central Asia,"

he stated, emphasizing the shared commitment to fostering sustainable growth and mutual prosperity.

The UAE's attractive business environment, strategic location, and extensive global partnerships were spotlighted as advantages for Uzbek businesses seeking international expansion. Bin Touq also underscored the importance of private-sector collaboration in driving innovation and achieving shared economic goals.

Key sectors identified for partnership include renewable energy, transportation, technology, logistics, agriculture, and food security. Both ministers stressed the value of knowledge exchange and the role of the UAE-Uzbekistan Joint Economic Committee (JEC) in advancing bilateral relations.

Bin Touq invited the Uzbek delegation to the upcoming fourth edition of Investopia, scheduled for next month. The event aims to showcase the UAE's investment opportunities and strengthen global economic collaboration.

This meeting underscores the UAE's commitment to building strategic partnerships and exploring avenues for sustainable economic development with Central Asian nations.
