UAE and Uzbekistan Forge Strategic Partnership with Comprehensive Agreements

The UAE and Uzbekistan have formalized a strategic partnership, marking a new chapter in bilateral relations.

The historic declaration was signed in the presence of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Uzbek President His Excellency Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a ceremony at Qasr Al Shati, Abu Dhabi.

The agreement was signed by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and His Excellency Bakhtiyor Saidov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

In addition to the partnership declaration, both leaders witnessed the announcement of several key agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) spanning a wide range of sectors. These include industry, technology, diplomacy, culture, investment protection, and promotion. Other areas of collaboration highlighted were mining, standards and specifications, agriculture, food security, defence and security industries, and justice.

The agreements aim to deepen ties and foster cooperation across strategic sectors, reflecting the shared vision of both nations for sustainable growth and development. The partnership underscores the UAE's commitment to strengthening global relationships and driving progress through collaborative efforts.

This milestone marks a significant step forward in enhancing bilateral relations, creating opportunities for mutual growth, and strengthening ties between the UAE and Uzbekistan across various domains.
