Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, the UAE's Minister of State for Financial Affairs, recently held a virtual meeting with Jamshid Kuchkarov, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The meeting aimed at exploring avenues to enhance bilateral financial cooperation and identifying key areas of mutual interest.
Al Hussaini praised Uzbekistan’s rapid development and its strategic economic reforms, emphasizing the robust ties between the UAE and Uzbekistan. He highlighted the positive results from last November’s visit by Uzbekistan's government delegation to the UAE’s Ministry of Finance, which was part of the "Financial Leadership Program." This initiative focuses on fostering knowledge exchange in finance, banking, and investment.
Both leaders expressed a shared commitment to advancing financial partnerships, with Al Hussaini stating,
“We are committed to strengthening our financial relations with Uzbekistan to foster growth and prosperity for both nations.”
Kuchkarov, in turn, shared his country’s continued progress with its public-private partnership program and voiced optimism about further collaboration. He highlighted the importance of expanding financial ties to drive sustainable development in both nations.
The meeting underscored the UAE's dedication to supporting Uzbekistan's economic ambitions, with plans to explore new opportunities for joint development in the finance and investment sectors.
