The Annual Meeting of Global Future Leaders 2026 opens next Tuesday and runs from October 13 to 15. It is organised by the UAE Government and the World Economic Forum (WEF) in cooperation with the Dubai Future Foundation.

More than 700 leaders and experts from government, business, academia, sport and culture will attend the three-day event. The programme combines strategic dialogue, experiential learning and practical collaboration, with discussions on technological disruption, geopolitical uncertainty, economic resilience, innovation and sustainable development.

The meeting builds on a partnership between the UAE Government and WEF that spans more than 17 years. That relationship has produced a series of international forums on anticipating the future and has brought UAE perspectives into global dialogues, including the WEF Annual Meeting in Davos.

Six core themes will guide the agenda: Artificial Intelligence, Technology and Human Agency; Science, Discovery and Innovation; Economic Growth; Geopolitics, Security and History; Leadership, Business Innovation and Human Flourishing; and Climate, Nature and Sustainability. Formats include ideation labs, immersive simulations, Betazone sessions and podcast recordings, all designed to help leaders move from foresight to action.

Participants include members of WEF’s Young Global Leaders, Global Shapers and Social Innovators communities, as well as young Arab leaders from the Great Arab Minds initiative.

Mohammed Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Principal Chairman of the meeting, said it offers an open global platform for exchanging perspectives and finding solutions that help nations respond to rapid change. Alois Zwinggi, President and CEO of WEF, said it will connect leaders across sectors, regions and generations to advance practical ideas and partnerships for a more resilient future.
